Rev. George I. Allison announced UCSoD's new Chairman of the Board of Trustees

  United Cornerstone School of Divinity Board of Trustees held their annual meeting July 6, 2010 in the Banks-Butller Library.  Dr. James H. Carter, founder and chairmain of the Board of Trustees moderated the meeting at which new officers were elected.  Rev. George I. Allison, pastor of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Greensboro, NC, was elected chairman of the Board of Trustees. Our founder, Dr. James H. Carter, was named chairman emeritas and board member for life. Bishop Willard H. Boyer, pastor Harvest Church, Trenton, NJ, was elected Vice Chairman. The Board of Trustees will meet again on October 9, 2010, 10:00 am, at UCSoD at which time Chairman Allison will share his five year vision for the school.  We look forward to great progress and success during Rev. Allison's five year tenure as chairman of the Board of Trustees.                                                                               

Rev. Evelyn Miller on Dean's List for Spring 2010

Rev. Evelyn Miller, Macedonia Baptist Church, Salisbury, NC celebrates being on the Dean's List for the Spring semester 2010. To be named on the Dean's List you must earn 3.0 or better.  Miller is the ideal student as she is on the final stretch of receiving her Certificate in Christian Leadership Winter, 2010 Semester.

Dr. John T. Teabout Sr. received the Doctor of Divinity Degree on Sunday, October 11, 2009 in a ceremony held at his church: Greater Friendship Baptist Church International Ministries, Newark, NJ.  President, Dr. George B. Jackson presented the degree on behalf of the        Board of Trustees, United Cornerstone School of Divinity, Thomasville, NC.

  Note: To qualify for the Dean's List you must take a minimum of 6 hours and have a 3.5 GPA for the semester. To qualify for the President's Scholar you must take a minimum of 9 hours and have a 4.0 GPA for the semester.

UCSoD Vespers & Ordination Services 2009

UCSoD celebrated its fourth Vespers & Ordination Services.  Vespers Service was held on Sunday, July 5, 2009. To read further about Vespers Service click here. Ulla, NC were ordained at the 1:30 pm service held at Cornerstone Church, Thomasville, NC.

UCSoD Announces President’s Scholar

                                                                    June 29, 2009

The President's Scholar Award is in recognition of students enrolled full time (at least nine hours) and receive a 4.0 grade point average during the session. Minister Evelyn Miller has been honored as the first recipient of this prestigious award.

  The Rev. Evelyn Mattison Miller of Woodlief, NC has been named a President’s Scholar by United  Cornerstone School of Divinity (UCSoD) Thomasville, NC for the spring 2009 session.

Miller is currently enrolled in the Certificate in Christian Leadership curriculum. She maintained a 4.0 average while being enrolled full time. Miller is an associate minister at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Salisbury and Secretary of the Salisbury-Rowan Ministers Alliance.
